HOW TO: Create a Facebook Desktop Icon ?

It is simple to create an icon for Facebook in your desktop so that you may easily click on touch with your Facebook-ing experience. Most of the people would think its a pretty tiresome job to open your browsers each time, type the URL, and getting log in. Sometimes there is a also a feature to drag a Facebook shortcut in your browser tab which obviously gives a slavish look. To have a own customized Facebook shortcut in your desktop will be a even more flexible than all the above because you will be just a single click away.

How to Create Facebook Shortcut on Desktop ?

Step 1: Go to your desktop and right click on it.

Step 2: You should click on feature called New.

Step 3: Another tab open in which choose Shortcut.

Step 4: It will ask for “type the location for item” in which you need to type www.facebook.com

Step 5: After clicking next the step will be to add a name to the URL in you can give any name or just Facebook

The short cut will be added to your desktop showing a thumbnail of your default browser. You can also customize this icon like replacing it by a Facebook icon.

In order to convert any of your images into icons you can use this online converter (http://iconverticons.com). It supports all files with respect to Mac and Windows.

To Add Facebook icon

Step 1: Right click on the shortcut icon.

Step 2: Click on Properties.

Step 3: Choose Change icon.

Step 4: Browse and replace the Facebook icon with it. You can easily compare this one with the URL Shortcut created with respect to default browser.
