HOW TO: Delete Facebook Timeline ?

If you are yet to experience the Facebook Timeline Developer Preview then you may do it now by visiting “How to Activate Facebook Timeline“. And here we have come up with deleting the Facebook Timeline if you feel that its too boring or didn’t like the layout or for any reasons, then continue reading.

Delete Facebook Timeline

Step 1: Access your Facebook Apps Developer page.

Step 2: Select the Facebook App you have created and select “Edit Settings” for that App.

Step 3: Locate “Delete App” in left side column bottom of the screen.

facebook timeline deleteThat is all. You have successfully removed the Facebook Timeline Developer preview from your profile. If you like to experience it again then you have to do “Facebook Timeline Invite” Steps once again to get it.

    We can even get back to our old profile.. Thats gr88 .. :p But I will stay with it I liked the header part but I didn’t liked the timeline part bcoz it shows everything we posted in past.. ;)
    But we can’t stay with old profile for long time bcoz within a month they vl change it for everyone..

    I tried and tried and TRIED!!! I cannot remove the new TIMELINE!!!!

    I want to delete timeline apps. I want to be simple n go bk with d old layout of my profile… Coz in every activity i make smebody cn easily detect and read what i hv written.. Oh b4 I 4get, sme1 used to post videos on my wall. Bt when i ask the person, he says ‘no, i am nt d one who posted. He says ‘made by spammers’ are facebook users secured in our privacy with those fb apps ur promoting?

    I hate Timeline how do I get back to the original the directions you offer do not work please show how to return to the old Facebook or I will delete the whole Facebook period. This is very deceiving how you offer something as a trial but then if you do not like it you can’t go back to the original well whoever is responsible shame on you!!

    I did not develop the timeline app, so how can I delete it. FB just took it upon themselves to put it on there. Friends have asked me to hover over their fb profile picture and uncheck it but that does not work because it comes right back. I have googled how to do it so many times I am blue in the face. The way they tell you to do it does not work because you did not create the app.

    I have to remove timeline from my profile of FB…
    When I visit the “Facebook Apps Developer page” on my profile, there is no apps, that I ever created…
    Now how should I delete or edit such apps that doesn’t exist….

    This doesn’t work!! I deleted the app, and deactivated my acct for a few hrs. I just reactivated and it’s STILL the timeline layout, however, my the app is still gone. There is NO WAY to get rid of it and it slows down my page and sucks!!!!!

    It looks like it’s time for me to leave FB because I really dislike being steered into something with no option of leaving. FB you have crossed the line of freedom of choice. If we can choose to try Timeline we should be able to decide if we don’t want or like it. The Timeline format is annoying. It is not an improvement over the original FB page. Sometimes change is good, this is not one of them. FB was nice but Timeline has screwed it up. Sometimes it best just to leave well enough alone.

    I did what they said about going to your App. Timeline is not listed there!!! YOU KNOW it is not a utility company like the telephone company where you pay and can turn it off..we don’t pay Facebook so maybe we are stuck with it!!!! To Bad!
